The State of Jammu and Kashmir is not having its own dedicated Infornmation Technology Department. As such all the projects related to IT are outsourced to other IT Gaint cities of India like Banglore. Every year the funds reserved for IT get collapsed to due of absence of an IT Department in J&K. The irony is that the absence of the IT Department in J&K State is due to the controversy developed over the issue "Who to elect as the head of the said Department ". The issue stands unsolved and as a result annual funds for IT get collapsed.
On the other side, the IT professional of Kashmir have passion to perform and serve their State. Kashmiris are trying their best to not be a part of ongoing Brain Drain. The apathy of State Govt is responsible for the loss caused due to outsourcing of our State automation projects and Brain Drain........
IT Professionals in Kashmir have a Mission to live with.......

Definitely bro.. Someone had to take an initiative n m pleased to see that it came from ur side.. Recently a the Tourism deptt came up with their site.. It is believed that they paid a total of 50 lacs for the site n the site was developed by some company in Chadigarh.. Believe me if the same site was given to some IT company in Kashmir, it wouldnt have cost them more than 10 lacs.. If the same continues then the aspirants have no alternative but to leave Kashmir and leave our state in never ending DARKNESS.. Who heads the Deptt shouldnt be an issue.. But unfortunately the concerned people are more concerned about their personal interests than the interests of society..
